New top-level domains have been in use worldwide since 2014, with more than 1,000 already in use. In this context, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, with the support of Kyoto Prefecture, applied to ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers: an international non-profit corporation that manages the Internet) and was approved as the registry to manage and operate the top-level geographical name domain ".kyoto" with the place name of "Kyoto" in its name. KCGI has positioned ".kyoto" as one of its social education projects, providing information and knowledge about the Internet to residents of Kyoto, and aiming to establish a high-quality brand domain that maintains a high level of reliability through an all-Kyoto industry-government-academia system for its operation.
The Internet has become an indispensable part of our daily lives, and websites in all fields, not just commercial ones, must produce quality content to be viewed by a large number of people, and at the same time, they must implement SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to improve their search rankings on Internet search engines.
In light of this, we will hold a "[.kyoto] SEO Seminar for beginners" for those who manage and operate websites to help them understand the importance of SEO and to learn how to implement SEO measures on their own using low-cost tools.
This is an introduction to basic techniques to attract customers for those who have started a website but do not know how many people are looking at it, want to do SEO but cannot afford to spend a lot of money, and want to do what they can do themselves.
※Each session will be held twice with the same content on different days.
